Zandvoort has much to offer its visitors. The offer covers an immense range, from beach pavilions and nice shops to the serene rest of the neighbouring dunes where you can still enjoy real nature.
Zandvoort also offers the possibility to enjoy its rich culture, tradition and history, also of the neighboring cities. Zandvoort is only 10 minutes away, with both car and train, from Haarlem with its ‘many historical buildings, and a large mixture of museums such as Teijlers and Frans Hals Museum. Also the many shops in shopping city number 1 of the Netherlands, Amsterdam are only a short distance by train. Buy a return ticket and leave your car in Zandvoort. In 30 minutes you have reached the centre of Amsterdam.
Zandvoort also has a very central position for a visit to other cities. What of the cheese market of Alkmaar, or rural villages like Edam and Volendam or cities like Leiden and The Hague? These and other interesting touristic attractions can be reached by car within an hour.
From in the middle of March till the end of May, the bulb region is in full bloom, a spectacle you shouldn’t miss!
